Announcing our move to Silicon Valley

Our new Menlo Park location

When I founded the Lean Software Institute back in 2004, everyone kept asking me when I would move it up from San Diego to the San Francisco Bay Area. And every time I was in Silicon Valley giving a talk, the question would come up again. I figured it was good enough that we were mobile, and that San Diego, an amazing place to live, was only an hour’s flight away.

Eighteen months ago, the Lean Software Institute began an international expansion effort. In every other country we looked at, we asked ourselves where we should focus geographically to have the most impact. It did not make sense not to apply the same thinking to the US. In November of last year we finally decided that our US office also needed to be in the country’s #1 technology hub.

Today I am pleased to announce that we have relocated our US office from San Diego to Menlo Park, right in the center of Silicon Valley. We’ll be surrounded by who’s who in tech, and we’ll have a chance to learn, play, and contribute at a higher level than ever before. I look forward to meeting a lot of inspiring and interesting people here over the next few weeks and months.
